In the era of digital transformation, data centers have become an integral part of the global economy, powering everything from cloud computing to artificial intelligence.

As data generation and consumption grow exponentially, the demand for reliable, efficient, and sustainable data centers continues to surge. In this global landscape, Agder, the southernmost region of Norway, is emerging as a prime location with several suitable sites for establishing data centers.

Norway boasts an electricity supply that is almost entirely sourced from clean, renewable hydropower. This form of energy is ideal for data centers, as it can be stored and provides clean power around the clock. Agder benefits from five power hubs strategically located throughout the region, Tonstad, Kvinesdal, Farsund, Bøylestad, and the regional capital Kristiansand.

Just outside Kristiansand lies Europe's largest sustainable data center campus, Bulk's N01 Campus. Spanning a vast 300-hectare (3 km²) site adjacent to the largest transformer station in Europe. This facility employs 30 people and generates an annual revenue of 30 million Norwegian kroner.
